Based at Truemans Road Reserve, Capel Sound, we compete on Friday evenings from October to March, with cross country over winter. Registrations will re-open in September 2025.
Please remember….
Name bibs
Name bibs will be given to you at your first night after registration. These are essential for our timing system, and are to be kept for the entire season. Replacement bibs will cost $5.
Parental supervision
Athletes must be supervised by parents/guardians at all time (on the track, not in cars). This helps keep the kids safe, and we would also love you to help out measuring and recording!
Dogs and toddlers
We love dogs, but not all kids do. And we really don’t like it when they wander on to the track. Please keep dogs off the track, and toddlers safely out of the way of our competing athletes.
Upcoming events
The 24/25 season has finished. Both new and returning members can register in September 2025.
Thank you to our sponsors!
FAQs
When does the season begin?
Our 2024-25 season will begin on October 11th.
My child isn’t a very strong athlete. Is LIttle Aths inclusive?
Little Aths is for everyone. Our competition nights are based on personal bests - so if you keep improving, you keep getting ribbons!
What events are included?
We run, jump and throw! Events depend on the age group, but include 70m to 1500m runs, discus, javelin, shot put, long jump, high jump and triple jump. Each age group competes in 4 events each week.
What is the time commitment for Little Aths?
The 2024/25 season will run from October 11th to March 28th 2025. We gather together on Friday nights at 5:15 for announcements, then do a warm up and get started. Each age group competes in 4 events each week, and we’re generally finished by about 7:30pm, although some nights are longer or shorter, depending on the events. Athletes also have the opportunity to compete in regional events, and Open Days run by other clubs throughout the season.
How does it run?
We are run by a committee of volunteers, and adhere to the rules and regulations of Little Athletics Victoria. The nights run smoothly only with the help of numerous parents who volunteer as age group leaders, measurers, recorders, and the BBQ team! Please let us know if you can help, or just join in!
